The Prentice Gallery was begun eight years ago by Lynne Hopper, and her father, Thayer Prentice.

According to Lynne, "Our goal was to provide quality custom framing to artists at a reasonable price. The original plan was to use part of the retail space as my studio, but soon there was so much work, there was little time to paint. The funny thing is that I really enjoyed the framing.

"Most people I know have days where work is a "drag", but I can honestly say that since I started the business, I have always enjoyed it. The people here on the Coast are wonderful to work with and, of course, the art is spectacular. Every day I feel honored that they allow us to help them choose a frame solution for such fine work.
